Students, doctoral candidates, and staff from universities that do not have a cooperation agreement with the Jagiellonian University may apply for an Individual Research Stay. This type of mobility is carried out in collaboration with a selected academic supervisor from Jagiellonian University, who provides support for your research project. The Individual Research Stay offers an excellent opportunity to develop academic competencies, establish contacts within the university environment, and conduct research activities.
Application process
If you received official approval from Jagiellonian University for a research stay, please complete the following two steps:
• create an account on MyMobility (click the create account button at the top of the screen);
• register for other exchange programmes (green sign up button on the right-hand side of the screen).
If you do not have approval from the Jagiellonian University but would like to obtain it, please read the information available on our website. Once you receive approval, you will be able to register your stay.
A completed application should include the following documents:
• Language Certificate (or the Language Proficiency Form); an English teacher or coordinator at your home university should sign it. Upload this document instead of the language certificate.
• Application Form (go to my account --> applications --> documents and next steps) - we require two signatures on this document: yours and your coordinator's at your home university. Upload the signed form back into the system and confirm your application. Done!
Insurance
You are required to have health insurance for the entire period of your stay. Visit International Students - health insurance for more details.
Important information
The programme and duration of your stay are always agreed individually, based on your needs and the University's capacity. The Individual Research Stay is not a scholarship programme; therefore, participants do not receive financial support from Jagiellonian University. If you plan to attend classes, you may be required to pay tuition fees (the amount is determined by the Rector). Please note that students and doctoral candidates participating in an Individual Research Stay at Jagiellonian University do not receive student status, which means you will not receive a student ID card.
